September is right around the corner and you all know what that means: The MTV Video Music Awards are back and bigger than ever. This year, the Moonman will take over the Staples Center in sunny Los Angeles for the live show on Thursday, September 6 at 8pm ET/5pm PT at the largest VMA venue to date!

BREAKING NEWS: Adding to our impressive – and still growing – lineup of performers is the superstar singer / songwriter Taylor Swift! Set to debut brand new music that she says is totally different than her usual tunes, Swift will join the likes of VMA vets Green Day and P!nk, songstress Alicia Keys and the Brit boys of One Direction.

This year’s performers aren’t the only stars that will shine on the VMA stage. The first round of powerful presenters has been announced and what a multi-talented group it is. With Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalia, Mac Miller, and the Fab Five U.S. Gymnastics gals on board to present, it’ll be an eclectic and awesome crowd on hand to celebrate the best music vids of 2012.

Following a hilarious appearance at the 2011 show, comedian Kevin Hart will take the lead as our host of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Known for his LOL-worthy original standup, as well as his reoccurring role in the Scary Movie franchise, Hart will bring the giggles to the golden coast when he takes the Staples Center stage.
